Harland Turnbull & Roberts has a long and
distinguished history.
Originally formed in Bridlington during
1770 as Harland and Son, the practice continued under this name
until 1936, when Mr. Turnbull became a partner and the firm was
known as Harland, Woodhouse & Turnbull.
With the addition of Mr. Roberts and the retirement of Mr. Woodhouse
in the late 1960's, the firm became known as Harland Turnbull & Roberts.
During 1995 the Hull legal firm Max Gold
and Co. acquired the practice. When Max Gold retired from Harland
Turnbull & Roberts in 1998
the senior partners - Dennis Brewer and Robert Wallace - took
control and the business of Shackles Solicitors was also incorporated,
providing additional offices in Hull and Hornsea.
Through the acquisition of a long established
legal firm, Walshe & Co,
during 1998 a new Driffield branch was established. In 2002 a new
office was also opened in the busy market town of Beverley.
Today, we offer a comprehensive range of legal services to individuals
and businesses throughout the Yorkshire region.
